Tempesta Camera Gear
Tempesta Camera Gear is a camera gear production company founded on November 14, 2013, in Tallinn, by Karl Angelo Maiuri during the Estonian entrepreneurship competition Entrum. Its vision is to unleash the creative spirits of young and aspiring filmmakers by making camera gear accessible to them.
It was claimed to be the most successful start-up in Harju County participating in Entrum. It also claimed the award of the most successful ICT and engineering start-up of Estonia by Entrum.
== History ==
Tempesta Camera Gear was established in 2013 by Karl Angelo Maiuri, Sten Priisalu and Rudolf-Gustav Hanni to provide aspiring filmmakers with affordable camera gear. The team raised the initial capital via crowd-funding. Tempesta Camera Gear launched their first product, the Camera Dolly, in the beginning of 2014. The Camera Dolly was a huge success and lead the company to claim the award of the most successful youth start-up of Harju County and the most successful youth ICT and Engineering Start-Up. It was also one of the two nominates for the most successful youth start-up of Estonia, all awards given by Entrum.
In November 2014 the company started participating in the entrepreneurship competition Ajujaht (English translation: "Brainhunt"). As the youngest team in the competition, the company started competing against 300 other businesses and reached the Top 40, before being terminated from the competition.
